Hey Guys,

I just used Ghost to upgrade my Fedora install from a 80GB drive to a newer/faster 120GB drive. The Ghosting seemed to go ok, except for one thing... now when I go to boot, I just get the word "grub" and nothing more. The fs seems ok and I can boot from a Fedora floppy into the system just fine and everything appears to work. I checked the partition and it is set as active, so that's not the problem either.

Any ideas? Is there a way to "reinitialize" the boot partition?

Thanks in advance... I'm off to google for more info.

WOOHOO!!! Fixed it an all is fine.

In case anyone else needs the fix, I'm going to enter some keywords here so that the search function can find it later:

just grub upgrade can't boot linux

The fix was to boot from the floppy and then once in the system go to a command prompt and type:

"grub-install /dev/hda"

Did that and now all is SWELL!
