Help, got a brand new comp, and it only works partially

Thanks for taking the time to read my problem...

I just bought a new comp..

MB: Gigabyte GA-7DX
CPU: AMD Tbird 1200
RAM: Micron PC2100 DDR 128MB ram
HD: Quantum Fireball AS
GC: GeForce2 MX 32MB (ASUS V7100)
SC: Creative SBLive! 5.1
and generic Network Card

I install the MB, RAM, CPU and HD for starters, then installed Windows ME.
I double checked, and they are all on seperate IRQs.
Now, without installing ANYTHING else, my comp gives me random errors and/or freezes.

I go into System Information, and it says there is a device problem.
This is the info it gives me...

Device: ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
PNP Device ID: ACPI\*PNP0C0F\00000002
Error Code: 22

If anybody knows what I can do, pls! pls! help this frustrated guy! 🙂
Thanks

I have, and the interesting thing is that when I disable the USB ports in the bios, I get another device error in the system information, almost identical, but it's ...00000004 (instead of 00000002) which leads me to believe that I havn't enabled some hardware feature yet. But the thing is, I've gone thru the bios and enabled everything possible, and I still get the error 🙁

Do you think it could be a flaky MB, and should I try to return it?

Thanks

I really can't say with much certainty here, but it might indeed be a flaky mobo. I had a PCChips mobo once that came with a defective modem that gave similar (but still somewhat different) symptoms as you describe here. Anyway, I'd advise that you wait for someone else more knowledgeable to step in and offer their advise.
