Members,

I just purchased a brand new NEC LCD 1850X -- I love it!!

Only problem I am having is that I can not seem to run it in DVI to DVI mode.. only analog. I have a Visiontek Ti4400, so I have the proper connections..

I used to have a CRT setup, so I was using the DSUB connection on the video card.. and that seems to be the only connector that works for the LCD monitor as well..

Right now, I have it working so that I have plugged in the DSUB connector on the video card, and the DVI connector on the LCD.. I would love to go DVI to DVI..

Can anyone help? I'm going to try to set it up so that I do a dual display, temporarily, to try to force the digital display.. we'll see..

On an side.. damm, this thing is beautiful..

cheers,

You probably have to press a button on the LCD to switch to the DVI input ... have a look through the on-screen display settings.

I just bought a Sony flat screen. There is a small switch on it to change from analog to digital. Unfortunately I had to buy a DVI to DVI cable seperately.

On my philips it has in the on screen setup a place to change which input to use.

Guys,

Thanks.. I believe that's ultimately what it turned out to be..

wierd though, it worked the first time I removed, from the video card, the DSub to DVI connector to the monitor and went with the staright DVI to DVI connector... i had not tried that combination..

all in all, I got real DVI.. this thing rocks at 12x10 :)

cheers,
