I partition a large drive with XP and also tried 2k Disk Manager, but when I boot system with CD, run Ghost8 the NTFS partition wasn't recognize. I ghost many hard drive and have never seen this problem. It's not a new drive and it previously had XP.

Is the hard drive SATA?

If so, you will want to update Ghost 8 before making the bootable CD... I thought Ghost 8 only worked under Windows (meaning... you had to be within Windows or use a "live" CD or ERD2004).

I've used Ghost 2003 to ghost a SATA drive, but you need to run the Live Update before Ghost 2003 will "see" the SATA component.

Ghost 8 should work fine. Ghost 9 only works in Windows (and sucks). Try starting ghost with ghost -fni or -noide. With a Dell GX280 ghost 7 doesn't like to find sata drives and I believe the same might apply with 8.
