Help: GF4 Driver Problems

I've read about ppl having various driver problems with GF3's and GF4's with anything over 23.11 or higher drivers. I just received my VisionTek Xtasy GeForce 4 Ti 4400 and I have the same problem with this one as I do with my GF3 (original no Ti or MX version. When I would try to run anything other than the 23.11 Det 4 drivers, I would get very slow frame rates in games especially based on Direct 3D. For example...with my GF4, I'm getting 12 -16 FPS in UT! I know it's not the card because my GF3 did the same thing until I put my 23.11's back on and then I would get about 70-75 FPS! I tried the Detonator Destroyer but it won't work with these. I've tried the 28.32's (fixed ver of course), 27.52's, 21.83's, 23.11's and 27.42's. WinXP will not recognize the 21.83 and the 23.11 drivers for my GF4. I have an Athlon 1.33 GHz (T-bird core) and 512 megs of PC2100 Crucial memory. I put these specs up so you guys know it's not my system. I think the problem is that there is previous residual driver remnants causing the slowdown, but I don't how to get rid of it. Thanx in advance for the help!!!!

download the modified Detenator XP drivers that fixes the G4 problem @ http://www.guru3d.com/files/ it fixes the problems with FPS and unlocks the fps cap . after this is done download the nvidia refresh rate fix .. just put it in the search in google nvidia refresh rate fix and u should find it ....... another thing u can try is turn off Verticle Sync in openGL settings located in the display/settings/ advance /aditional properties/ opengl settings ... u will also have to set it
3d antialiasing to manual antiliasing and SELECT QUINCONX =)
