Yea, notify the police, someone might have turned it in. Check the newspaper/loacal things in their lost and found section too.

Lets see, all her credit cards, debit card, health insurance card (information), I think thats it, at least for my wallet.

Debit cards? Call bank. And if you're giving up on it coming back, better get a new license

Ya never know tho. I lost my black wallet on the floor of the MGM Grand, CC's and full of cash. Didn't notice until I was at the other end of the casino. By the time we made our way back to where I was at, the security guy walkin' with us had already heard it was turned in at a security desk.

There are some decent people out there :)

I lost mine in Rio in Vegas and didn't realize it until later that night..and had no idea where. I cancelled everything right away...had no cash in there because i had taken it out and put it in my pocket. Rio security called me like three weeks later saying they had found it (i had one of my business cards in there) and they said they'd mail it out to me. I got it about a week later, all the credit cards and everything else still there. :)

Ya had to think security cameras would've caught the guy's face anyway... I don't think anyone is ballsy enough to walk away with it, especially in the casino areas. For all they know, it's a sting operation.

6k in a wallet would freak me out enough to just leave it there.

Remember stupid things like BlockBuster cards too, you may want to cancel those.

Thanks a lot for the help guys. I yelled at her a bit to be more careful next time. (although this isn't the first time she's lost something...keys etc. has been lost many times before) I think the big one she lost is her press pass. Just hope that some terrorist that looks like her doesn't use it to get in to larger corporate events...
