i dont game very much if i do its only on the weekends, hence the 6600gt, im starting to get into video editing. i also just want a faster machine. i also want to learn html and C++ and make a website.

Mine required a parental signature. Go buy a prepaid visa. I know some malls have them. A few of the conveneicen stores in my area have them too.

Do they think you are irresponsible? Remind them that you worked hard for this money while your friends were out goofing around doing nothing.

Do you have a habit of wasting your money or something? If not, then ask them why they think your judgement is so bad here.

You're grades have been good...(if they haven't, promise that they will get better ).

And spending time on a computer thats fast, efficient, and enjoyable to work on is better than hanging out with your friends all the time smoking, getting drunk and trying drugs. Next thing they know, you're in a gang...do they really want you to be shot dead in a drive-by shooting? All this can be avoided if you got the new computer.
