Show them this post first, then tell them it'll help you improve your spelling and grammar.

Walk into their room with your balls hanging out dripping in maple syrup. Then climb onto their bed and start screeching like a monkey.

Okay, this next part is pretty hard, so listen up. You've gotta get a group of friends together and build an insane asylum. Then all you've gotta do is hope that your parents send you there, and... uh, so your parents hear the diagnosis "twitchee2 must have a new comp to cure his dastractic malady" and they crack and you know... comp time.

maybe I need a faster video card, so it can refresh the screen faster?

How about ditch comcast, and upgrade to T3?

Why do you need a new computer? How old are you? And a PC can be bought brand new if on sale for under $500.

If you are buying a $2000 PC and claiming that you "need it", you don't.

What kind of computer are you looking to purchase? High end? Entry level? Do you plan on building it yourself or buying an OEM like a Dell?

Dude...Tell me you're not from the US...

PLEASE tell me you're not from the US. Either that, or you're stoned/drunk. Nobody spells that badly

Okay, give up on the "more upgradable" tactic. It's a myth. Second, your parents are probably right. It is probably a waste of money for you, as you aren't doing much besides playing games, am I right?

Well, when I wanted to convince the powers that be to consent to my upgrades, I actually put some effort into it. For my first upgrade, I learned C++ and some OpenGL to go along with it. In fact, looking back, I guess that was completely legitimate. In fact, for my next upgrade I got into playing piano with a heavy duty sampler called GigaStudio. That was perfectly legitimate too. Hmm...

Here, what you need to do is find something to do on your computer other than play games that your parents think is worthwhile. This is my perfectly practical solution for you, but it may not be the one you like.
