Help getting my CPU to 3GHz!

Hey guys, I have a P4 2.4C, with an ABIT IS7 Mobo, 512MB of Corsair Pc3200 Ram, plus a cheap ass 300w powersupply.

My CPU is running at 2.98 (Stable as a rock), but when i go any higher, i see random restarts and bluescreens. The 3.3V rails on my PSU is running surprisingly low at 3.07 and my 12v Rail is at 11.56.

Could that be why i cant get up to 3GHz??

BTW, Vcore at 1.575 and Ram running at 2.8V

Thanks!

try 1.6 and a new power supply

i was having restarts with the exact same config but no power supply did the trick

Ha..he meant "new"... I'm sure he couldn't do too much with his system if he had no power supply.

I am using a 5:4 divider, My Pc3200 aint that good 🙂

Yes I upped the Vcore to 1.6, still random restarts in bandwidth intensive apps.

What are your GAT settings?

Just wondering about your temps and what HSF are you using?

I was able to get to 3.4GHz with the Intel HSF at default voltage with my 2.4c

and gained 200mhz with an SLK-900u and Panaflo 92mm fan + good thermal
