I'm a newbie so be gentle🙂 How in the world do I setup Linux to get access to my Windows machines and vice-versa? I'm running Mandrake 8.1 and Win98SE.
They both support SMB built-in. FreeBSD supports SMB from boot install floppy (2 floppies) so you can easily get to a Windows PC shared CD-ROM drive and of course both use SMB/NetBIOS shares after installation.
TurboLinux 7 is also the first Linux OS to be Li18nux compliant. http://www.turbolinux.com/products/tls/tblx_7server_ds.pdf
