replace the disk, and then press any key

not sure what to do now
thanks guys

Are you trying to boot off of a bootable cd-rom? Are you sure it's bootable? Explain completely what you're trying to do.

I'm trying to boot off the windows 98 cdrom
I figured that was bootable
the floppy I tried using was a win98 system disk
thanks
I'm just trying to get in and install win98se

I don't know if your disk is bootable or not. You can always do it this way:

Use a Win98 Boot Disk, and boot up with CD-ROM support.
Copy the full contents of the folder "WIN98" off of the CD to "C:/WINDOWS/OPTIONS"
Change dir to C:/windows/options
Type "setup"

And you will be installing Win98.

thanks man, I just realized I was doing something wrong in bios
and figured out the boot disk
I booted from cdrom and began installing win98
I guess I will figure out my floppy later
