Hey!
I need some help getting my pc ready for a shiney new 8800GTX but its gonna take quite a few changes.

Here is my current spec:

Intel Core2duo E6600
ASRock 775 DUEL-VSTA
2x 512MB DDR Geil Value Ram
Gainward Geforce 6800GT AGP
Antec Sonata II + 450W Antec True/Smart Power PSU
2x IDE HDDs, 1x SATA HDD, 1x DVDRW
Soundblaster Audigy

Basically I dont think that the 8800GTX will fit inside my case, nor will the 450w be powerful enough (as sometimes i question if it even is enough for my 6800gt). I also think that the motherboard will bottleneck the gpu as the PCI-E only runs at 2x or something. So what i need is some recommendations on a nice motherboard, ddr2 ram and a nice silent case and psu. Im really not fussed about overclocking.

As the 8800GTX is around £450 i dont really want to spend more than £400 on the other components but im pretty sure they will cost more than that :/

I really appreciate any help that you guys can give me !

thanks AznSensation, the motherboard and ram are just what im looking for, i have heard alot about gskill - not too sure about the PSU tho as i have never heard of that brand and will 500W really be powerful enough? Any recommendations on a case?

How big do you want your case to be?
Do you like ones with fancy side windows/ LED lights?
What's your budget on case?

500W is enough for the system.
I've seen many people recommending this PSU. Awesome PSU and it's fairly cheap.

also, i just gave you newegg links so you can read the reviews/info/pictures but they are not necessarily best deal/cheapest.

go to pricegrabber.com, zipzoomfly.com, buy.com (google checkout) and get the best bargain u can get for those parts

Go to HOT deals forum and search for antec P180 case.
It's awesome case for $90.

or...

go to newegg and look at antec nine-hundred, Lian-Li cases, or Silverstone cases.

those are awesome

the case needs to be able to fit a 8800GTX inside, thats the main concern. i would also like it to be fairly silent as my current Antec Sonata II is so quiet i cant even tell my pc is turned on!
i really dont like LEDs and side windows etc, a clean looking case is better :)
