Hey guys - I am not the greatest with all this computer knowledge.. Hoping someone can give me some help/guidance.
I am running a Celeron 300A chip (I know its ancient) on a BH6 motherboard with 128 meg of RAM. I just purchased a Elsa Gladiac GEFORCE2 GTS /w/ DDR memory and threw it in my machine (hoping it would help me out in playing games such as Quake 3, etc)...
Unfortunately, everytime I start playing a game, it lets me play for a while (I'm very happy with the performance while it works) but then it seems to lock up on me. I have a couple fans in my system and even have the slot next to my GEFORCE empty to help it keep cool.... My screen turns black and it starts making a skipping noise... I can't even turn off the computer with the power button (I have to unplug it from the wall).
Why do you think it is locking up?? Is my gfx card defective??? Is my processor to weak to work with this graphics card?? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated....
