HELP!! Geforce 2 not recognizing red! :( :(

So I got a second hard drive for Xmas, and I was happily installing it! To my disgust, when everything was booted back up, my Geforce 2 no longer knew what red looks like!!! Red now = Black to it.. I've made sure the video card is secure as well as the video cable on both ends. I've mucked with my monitor settings and reinstalled the Geforce 2 drivers, even though those shouldn't be the issue.. What's wrong???? Please help, my screen looks like puke and it makes my eyes hurt.. thanks so much.

Unplug your vid cable and take a careful look at the pins. I'll betcha one is bent and not going in right. Happened ta me, looks like it mighta happened ta you🙂! Needlenose pliers work great🙂!

All the pins are straight as can be. 🙁 The bottom left one is *missing*, but I thought that was a normal thing? Let me know what you guys think. My stomach's turning again! 🙂

Are you using both drives, or did you copy one drive setup to the other?

If you are using both drives, have you tried unplugging the second drive?

If you copied, how did you do it?

I'm using both drives right now. My first attempt to use the second drive failed because I was a moron and forgot to set it to slave. The problem started then, and is around even with the second drive out of the box. Hope this helps you guys help me!! 😛

Three possibilities:

1. Your monitor's color settings have changed, or the red gun on your monitor took a dump.

2. Your vid drivers got corrupted.

3. There is still a bad connection between your vid card and the red input of your monitor.

If you can borrow another monitor, plug it in, and see if the problem is still there. If so, it's your monitor.

Once you know it's in your machine, you can uninstall your vid card, and re-install the drivers.
