help, FTP doesn't work

For some reason it stopped working a few hours ago. I always get

"Can't connect to remote server. Socket error = #10061."

for EVERY site i go to, any ideas? I've re-installed it but still not working.

do you use a proxy for http? and are you at work or at home and what sortof a connection do you have
