Help from Keene, NH area?

This is a really odd request, but I will try anyway.

Is anyone from Keene willing to stop by Circuit City and pick up my order (single box containing networking equipment) and ship it to me? I just can't justify the 200+ miles round trip for a $50 item and CC is unwilling to ship from the store.

Thanks for the quick reply. I asked CC about that and they said I could cancel the online order and someone could pick it up for me in person. I would have to send paypal in advance to the person doing the pickup to cover the cost. Kind of a PIA, but ~$30 AR for a DSM510 is a pretty good price.

Not sure about Circuit City but with Best Buy they require the person who placed the order present with a form of identification, the credit / debit card used to purchase the item and a print out of the confirmation e-mail.

EDIT: Just saw your second post. Hopefully you can find someone local.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why not just order it FROM them? is it an in-store only special or something?

both BB and CC allow others to pick up items as long as you have the CC you ordered it with, sometimes they call the person, sometimes not

ive had my brother pick shit up for me from both, somethimes they call me, sometimes not

I tried that route. It is a clearance item that is out of stock at the warehouse. Keene was the closest store with any stock on hand. I tried calling the store and asking them to direct ship it to me and they said they can not do it.

I don't think I should spend more on gas than the product...just on principle.

Hopefully I can find someone to help. If not, it will not be too traumatic

I don't know how many more they have, but that is a really good price. Technically I have 14 days to pick it up. I can always hope I have to be in that area for work in the next two weeks.

Turns out the rebate is not good at Circuit City, but that doesn't negate my need for some help picking up the item.

Thanks for the reply. I considered FS/FT, but the rules state "no services" so I figured it would be out of bounds.

I have a friend who will be in Keene on the 11th so I may just have to wait.
