Help! Forgot to mail Rebates

I opened my car glove box and found... two unmailed Verizon $100/each rebate forms ready to be sent. I guess I forgot!!! They were supposed to be sent before February 1st, and it's almost May. What do I do?

Call Verizon and ask where my money is? Make copies of the stuff and send it with a note saying "where is my stuff"? Or do I call and be completely honest? What do you think is best?

Suck it up and realize you could have had $200 had you not been a dumbass.

Go find something you REALLY want that costs about $200. and just kiss it good-bye...

You are why rebates are so pervasive these days.
Yeah OP, you have no chance. Better luck next time.

I'm glad I was able to give a few people some laughs.

I've gotten thousands back from rebates over the years, and I'm not about to lose $200 this easily. I'm still looking for advice. Granted, I may have little chance, but I think I have some.

So, I ask again... if you were DESPERATE and wanted to at least TRY... would you be honest and call up the rebate processing center and ask for help? Or would you just try to pass it off as their fault?

Thanks...

Calgar, you have NO CHANCE. NONE! IT'S OVER! THE FAT LADY HAS SUNG! SHE IS LEAVING THE STAGE!

Man, now I don't feel so bad about forgetting to send in around $150 in rebates over the past 3 yrs.

Best advice- wait for those crazy $250 gift cards or cash back deals from the CC companies you get for making one small purchase.

A persistant dumbass is still a dumbass.

Dumbass...

You may be able to get your $200 back in the aforementioned way. Call and complain (and then when they tell you to shove it) have your lawyer write them a letter on your behalf. They will most likely just comply as their lawyers probably cost more than your $200.

Personally I would keep my integrity and eat the $200.

I do have a small chance... because I've got a little bit of leverage. I'm in a government policy for my cell phones so they don't have a termination fee. I could say I will cancel if they don't honor the rebates.

Or, like I said... if I just call and say what's the status of my rebates, they can say they don't have any info, and I can resend copies. One or the other WILL work, I'm almost certain... and I'll post in this thread one way or another.

Last call... any suggestions? 'Honesty' or the 'just call and check' policy?

All else fails, you may have to manwhore.😛
When she's handing you those 5's with change, you can imagine them adding up to one fat Verizon rebate check.😀
