my friend wants to be able to print from her lappy and her son's machine, both wirelessly on her home network.
she has a HP 3030 laserjet printer connected via usb to her main/office computer.
she has a verizon dsl modem. i've shared the printers and i can see the printer on the laptop (haven't worked on the son's rig yet) and when i try to print a test page, it shows it printing, but i get nothing printed.
i know this is sparse info, because, well, i suck at networking but it doesn't appear this should be difficult.
the guy who worked on it before actually ran a splitter going directly into the back of the modem, one for the dsl incoming and one running to the fax. does that souynd right?
someone mentioned a print server, do i need that?
thanks in advance!
