I know to use a boot disk, however when I insert my old Win95 boot disk it says disk error.
When I try to boot from the Ultimate Bootdisk It says disk error.

When I try to write the boot disk from the winimage files at bootdisk.com I get bad track errors (not possible as the disks are brand new, and Ive tried 2 sets)

whats going on? and is there an easier way?

these disk errors you are getting ,could be related to known issue ,if u can check the supply voltage on the lead to the floppy drive ,if possible use a different one most psu's have at least 2 connection leads for the floppy .

if i use the a lead shared with the hd i get same errors if i use a different lead and luckily i have a spare connection from psu i dont get these errors ,this error threw me for a couple of days.

might help might and just as a test disconnect your hd and cd power leads and leave one int he floppy drive and see if it boots from floppy if it does u can flash the bios etc....!!!

turns out it was the round floppy cable I ordered must have gotten a bad one, but my old hand rounded one in and it works fine, so either the round was was defective, or its not sheilded well and that h20 pump is screwing it up
