I recently found this laptop online (to my specs), at cyberlink and I think it seems to be a very reasonable price. It is a Asus Z92T Notebook 15.4" WXGA 1280x800 Pixel w/ NVIDIA 7600 256MB Video, Turion?64 X2, 802.11g Wireless & 1.3 Mega Pixel Built-in Webcam
It has:
-Mobile AMD Turion?64 X2 Dual-Core TL-64 CPU @ 2.2GHz 2x512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Low Voltage 35Watt
- 15.4" Glossy WXGA TFT LCD Display Max: 1280x800 Pixels
- NVIDIA C51MV + MCP51 Chipset Mainboard
- 1GB (2x512MB) PC5300 DDR2-667 SODIMM Memory
- 120GB 5400RPM ULTRA ATA 100 HARD DRIVE
- 8X DVD REWRITABLE DRIVE
- BUILT-IN AC 97 SOUND
- Wireless 802.11G 54Mbps MiniPCI Card
- Built-In 4in1 Media Reader
- 4 usb 2.0 and 1 i.link firewire port
ALL FOR $1245.00
It has a lot of what I think i'd need. I'm into music, surfing the web, possibly editing video with the i.link jack unless that would be really slow, and occasionally gaming( CS Source, Battlefield occasionally). I realize laptops won't be as good as desktop computers, but the portability seems right for me. Should this notebook be capable of everything I'm into? I chose to upgrade from a 2.0 to 2.2 processor, but will that really make a noticeable difference? Any help at all would be appreciated. Or if anyone has any other suggestions for around $1,200 that is pretty close to the specs of the notebook I'm looking into would be greatly appreciated also.
