Can anyone help me find what type of RAM, how much, if pairs are required, what the max is, and where to buy RAM for this computer?

It's obviously old, 200MHz Pentium I. I just replaced the 2GB failing HDD with an 8GB one.

No need to tell me how useless the computer is. I know.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Most likely to be SIMM.
What motherboard is it?
Download Everest if you aren't sure, as it may come up with the answer for you

Looks like you can use any cheapie pc66/100/133 168pin DIMM that is 48MB or less. -
EBAY

Don't buy that one - way too expensive.
Or, go down to your local computer tip/recycling centre and pick out a few from the old cases

Ah, thanks for the info!

Does this type of memory need to be put in in pairs?

Any way I might be able to find the max that this motherboard may be able to take?
