My girlfriend just bought a webcam for her computer.. and she wants to use something like camarades.com to do a live broadcast so that i can see her.. (she is 6 hours away)- if i was there with her, it would be much easier.. i have so much respecet for tech support people becuase giving people ocmputer help over the phone is impossible.
she is on a college network though, and from what i can tell it looks like all her ports are closed right now so that her camera cant access the camarades server..
this was similar to the situation i had at my school, how ever i was able to ask the IT director here and found out that they left port 19900 open at my school..
so my guess is that my girlfreinds college probably also has some open ports hidden somewhere-- how do i find them, i had her use one of those port scans from some website that scans common ports (bascially 1-1000) and they all came back closed.
any ideas?
