Help finding info on my wife's Grandpa's military service info

So Memorial Day got us thinking/talking at home. My wife's Grandpa was in the service during WWII and my son (17) has really found an interest in the war and it's history, so we figured it would be good to dig up what we could on what is his Great-Grandpa. I figured as well that ATOT could probably do a better job than I could at it, so here's his info:

Name: Clarence Viestenz
DOB: 11/26/1918
Service: WW2 veteran. 358th Infantry, Company K
Received Purple heart and 2 oak clusters

Any info anyone can dig up would be greatly appreciated.

But surly there are records of where/what K Company did during the war? I guess I don't fully understand how it all works...

actually did that already. You have to submit to "Request Copy of Research a Veteran Guide" so I'm waiting to hear back...

When I thumb through this: https://archive.org/stream/ahistorythdivis00assogoog/ahistorythdivis00assogoog_djvu.txt it seems the 358th was in the middle of lots of shit. I see no mention of Company K though.
Is it safe to assume that since he was in the 358th, regardless of what company, he would have been involved in lots of these events?

Yes, because of this fire it took us 6 weeks to get the approval to have my dad's ashes interned at the National Cemetery.
