Help finding IC MC1494, obsolete part

I've been looking everywhere for this IC. I need it to replace some
that i suspect aren't working in a weather instrument that i'm reconditioning.

Anyone have any ideas where i could get 4 of these things, the only people who
want to sell me any want me to make a 500 minimum purchase.

Its a 4 quadrant multiplier, Motorola, obsolete.

I took an electronic class and made an AM radio once, we used resistors, MOSFET, capacitors, and boy it was fun. I am wonder is there other cool stuff I could make / play around with.

Just about anything you want to build is out there, just depends on how much time and $$ you want to spend. With electronics that are almost disposable these days, it probably isn't economically a gain, but it is fun if you're into it.
 
Hey yellow, thanks for those replies. I've tried emailing Kurt's Amps but no reply, i even tracked
down his number but keep getting his answering machine. As for the other site i think i tried them
but they were asking for quantities of 100 or so, i'm only looking for 4.

Well scratch that, the americanmicrosemi guys have 2 on hand for 20bucks a pop, not the 6.80/pc i was looking to spend
but at this point i'll take what i can get. I'd like to have 4 though since i'm not sure i tested the chips correctly and dont know
exactly if they're all working or not. Anway thanks a ton yellow.
