Help finding cheap airfare, LAX -> Madrid

Hi All,

Looking for 2 plane tickets for my honeymoon and I'm having trouble finding anything below about $610/each. Here's the details:

Leave: Los Angeles (LAX) April 29, 2002 ~9:00 am
Return: Madrid (MAD) May 15, 2002 ~10:00 am

I'd prefer nonstop, but 1 stop is acceptible.

The $610/each price is through Orbitz.

Most places are quoting me $800+/each.

Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Try hotwire.com

Their rates are dirt cheap, but the hitch is that they do not give you the airline nor the flight schedule until after you purchase your tickets. The reason their fares are so cheap is that they guarantee the airlines anonymity. It's a good site if you're flexible in travel time.

Thanks for the replys, keep 'em coming!

Hotwire actually comes up more expensive than Orbitz! Besides that, I used Hotwire for a flight about 2 weeks ago and had a bad experience (times were not what I hoped for), so I think for something like a honeymoon I'll stay away from them. 🙂 When I truly have no time constraints I might use Hotwire again...

Anyone else?

Someone posted a while back about a PriceLine forum that supposedly worked real well for seeing ahead of time what Priceline would give you.
If I find it I will edit in..
