My uncle recently gave me one of his 42" plasma tv's that he wasn't using for my bedroom in my apartment (I was still using a 19" CRT -- I think I'll take the plasma!). When he bought it, it was discounted because there was no stand included. He ended up mounting it to his wall. Since I've acquired it, the brackets on the back of the TV are still attached, and there is no stand. The studs in my apartment building are all metal -- I'd rather not drill through them to mount this thing on the wall. I know they make TV stands/entertainment centers with shelves and all that have a wall mount built on them to hang a TV, but is there just a simple looking TV stand that is sort of universal with wall mount brackets? Like a stand that would come with the TV, but instead of screwing the TV to the stand, it hangs on to it like it would on the wall? I tried finding a parts store to find a standard stand, but I couldn't even find that. Any help is appreciated.

For referencer, the model of the TV is: Philips 42PF9956/37.

Yea, those were the stands I were talking about. I was looking for something just to hold the TV. I don't need any shelves or anything like that. I just need the stand.... something I can mount the TV to and then put on the shelf unit I already have. (It's just a flat stand with some shelves).
