Help finding a 24" LCD for gaming & GIMP editing

I am currently using a 15.4" laptop to a 17" old LCD and am needing to upgrade because I am borrowing the LCD. I am trying to find an LCD that is 1980x1200 and has HDMI input. The rest of the features such as height adjustment or USB ports are simply icing on the cake but not necessary. I am stuck between waiting for the U2410 and the Ultrasharp 2408WFP. But I need help trying to find the best option. I am looking for a monitor that can display movies quite well, good blacks and low ghosting but still provide crisp photo-editing.

Am I trying to find a monitor that doesn't exist? Help?
