Forgot to say ,when you overclock ,only go up in 5MHz steps at the most & test on each new setting.
For a quick test play a game or run 3DMark for 10 mins or s😵nce you've found the cards 'quick test' limit then test it for longer ,at least 3hrs
 
As far as I know FastWrites does somewhat the same as UDMA for HDs: Instead of moving data through the CPU they are moved directly from RAM to graphics RAM.

This is a short version of an explanation I read in the german PCGames & Hardware awhile ago...

But yes, turn it off! Especially on VIA chipsets. (Don´t know why?)
