HELP: Error is crashing my system and my home network!

Heres the skinny: I get this error when my computer starts, just about every time now.

Windows socket error:
(11001), on API 'ASync Lookup'

After I get this error my home network goes down. The other computers can't get the internet from my cable modem. I am using the 3com home connect 10mbps phoneline networking kit. I am using @home and this just starting happening. I didn't down load any software recently and I did a virus scan. Everything was clean.

Also after this error, my start bar freezes and my computer locks shortly after that.

Can anyone help me please?
