800 ddr2 ballastix

700w cool max power with 8 pin connector.

9600 gt low power edition.


I can get it to boot with single channel mode 2 X 2gb in bank 1 and 2.

but 1 and 3 / 2 and 4 for sual channel does not work.

i tried setting the v volt manualy, the timing.. and increasing mch to 1.2


All the component worked well ( 3+ hours of fallout 3 ) when i had ep43-ud3l. - cpu over clocked at 3.7


I'm giving thing board a shot because I want intel matrix raid..


am i doing something wrong? or is this board super picky with ram?

it was just snap and go wth ep43. overl clocked to 3.7 with in 30min.

Have you ran memtest to make sure memory is good? If you have and they are indeed good I would just make sure you have the correct voltage and speed and timings set for your ram. If all of that is also good then I would say rma your motherboard for a new one.

memtested it with diffrent board.

i set the manual timing and voltage. i even loosen up the timing and up the voltage.....

motherboard + power supply. 24 pin and 8 pin. plugged in 700w power supply.

9800 evga low power edition. ( which required 18 on 12v rail. which i have)

pluged in one sata drive on sata0

connector for front cables.. just speaker and sw power.


Works great in single channel mode. bank 1. only it will boot with 1.8v

works great 2x2gb in bank one and two single channel mode.


won;t boot in bank 1 and 3..


tried.. with out hard drive plugged in

tried... booting with one ram .. set the timing to 4-4-4-12 2.0v.. or 5.5.5.18.. then turn it off put in two ram... no luck. up the voltage to 2.1 no luck,


read in tweaktown.. i should up the mch.. to 1.2 tried that..

with ep43-ud3l.. all of these components worked well together... the reason i tried ep45 was matrix 1+0 and cooler northbridge.. ( ep43 was hot..)
