I was trying to network my burner to my other computer and it wouldn't work so i disabled it on the comp i was trying to network it to....and now it won't neither my dvd rom or my burner will work.
It dosen't even show my burner in the device manager and it shows my dvd rom with the big red x on it.
It says that " it is not working properly because a device it depends on, Secondary IDE controller has been dynamically disabled"...the comp this happened on is a compaq running windows ME ( yeah i know...yuck)...my other comp is one i put together its running windows xp pro.
Before i realized this happened i ran the xp network repair utility.....i don't know if that screwed it up or not...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!
