Help!!!!!! dumb Excel question

Oh boy, and I see you are a Senior Member... and you don't know how to do an xy (Scatter) plot in Excel??

Sorry, after 4 years of engineering college, I guess I take it for granted that everybody is an Excel expert (just like everyone else I knew in school).

Anyway, enough of my rantings... Here you go:
  1. Put your data in columns with the x-axis data in the leftmost column (you can also put the data in rows with the x-axis data in the topmost row)
  2. Next highlight what you want to plot. You need to highlight at least tw columns, one for the x data and one for the y data. (you can highlight more than 2 columns, in which case, the default will be that the leftmost column will be the X data set and each of the remaining columns will be a sepeate set of y data, or another line on the chart)
  3. Next, click on the little chart wizard icon on the toolbar (or Insert/Chart in the main menu)
  4. Now, the key is to select XY (Scatter) from the chart type dialog box.
  5. Excel should pretty much lead you through the rest. You should just be able to hit Next untill the chart appears.

PM me if you need more...
