Help: Dual-LCD but nView acting screwing?

OK, I need help here. Up until tonight I had been running my dual-LCD with a 5600 FX in WinXP.

nView was somehow (not sure how I did it) setup such that I had two screens but the start bar only spanned one screen.

Then I upgraded to nVidias latest anf greatest (44.03 ?) and now nView will not treat my two screens as two screens, rather it wants to "span" them. It sucks, I want the old functionality back where my start bar spans 1 LCD.

As it stands now, I have to disable nView to play full-screen games. Anyone else having this problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the original ASUS drivers (that had the nice nView setup) but the nView stayed the same (i.e. spanning across both LCDs rather than treating my system as having 2 distinct LCDs).

Anyone? Please...

Damn dude/dudett, so simple and yet it is exactly what I needed. Thank the stars you took the time to type a response (seriously) I was at my wits end! Thank you thank you!😀

A different problem, but hopefully this thread is magical and draws the folks who can solve all dual mon problems.

So I'm using using nview on one of the BFG GF4 4200 cards, Win2K, latest detonator drivers, using the same settings (extend desktop, etc.) as Idontcare. I'm trying to get a different wallpaper on each monitor. Went into nView Desktop Manager and checked the "Allow different wallpapers per monitor box."

I browse to a picture for each monitor, but when I hit "apply" neither monitor goes to the wallpaper I picked for it.

Instead they both use the wallpaper I was using before, when I (intentionally) had the same wallpaper on both monitors.

Random note: When I uncheck the different wallpapers box I can change the wallpaper to whatever I like. Only if the box is checked am I locked into the old wallpaper.

So, any ideas?
