Help: Dual Channel DDR config

I have a question for memory experts.

My currently system is DELL 8300 with Intel 875P chipset. Right now it has two 128MB memory sticks. I would like to upgrade. My question is: Is it better to buy 2 more 128MB sticks or two 256MB sticks? Can I mix two pairs with different sizes (ie, two 128 and two 256)? ThX!

Some motherboards have problems with dual channel and more than two sticks. It will probably easier if you get two sticks of 256 or 512 and only run with those.
