Just another problem on my new system... I just got things up and running and was suprised at how slow everything was running so I checked prcesses and it shows a process called drwtsn32.exe running which is using the majority of my memory and cpu. I have searched and located the program and deleted it. It seems to still startup. I have also check in msconfig -> startup tab and didnt find it there. Is this a virus or something I have installed. I am reluctant to think its a virus, because I havent had it connected to the internet yet.

One other thing is that it seems to calm down after a bit and not use as much memory, but it still uses 70-90% on the CPU constantly. the username its under is system.

it's a bug, error, virus or whatever, but that doesn't seem right. your OS environment seems pretty messed up. if ending the process tree in the task manager doesn't help, you can try fiddling with the dr watson settings to debug differently, or repair your system

Well if I end the process then it doesnt come back until I restart, I would just like to avoid having to end the process everytime I startup. What is dr watson good for anyways? Is there a way to completley remove it?

Thanks for the tease. I would really like to just get rid of it alltogether at this point.

dr watson is usually caused by an error in some program, if you restart your computer, dr watson should only be using very little resources.
