Help: Does P3b-f support 40gig or 60gig HDD?

It does if you use a IDE controller card in it.;) I really don't know about native support of large hard drives though. But, even if a recent BIOS upgrade would or has enabled large hard drive support, it's not going to be ATA100 or ATA133 compliant. The original 440BX IDE controller only supports ATA33. I use a Promise Ultra100 IDE controller for my hard drive and CD-Rom and the onboard IDE for my DVD-Rom and CD-RW, all as masters.

my dad has a P3B-F, and i put a new 40gb WD IDE drive in it the other day, using the onboard controller. works fine, but i believe the onboard controller only supports ATA/33, so its not getting the full preformance of ata/66 o ata/100

still not bad.
