Help DIY Digital Picture Frame

Before I actually delve into this project I was wondering if anyone else had done it this way. I have been searching for DIY digital picture frames but almost all were using laptops.

I want to make a frame out of a desktop lcd, that is a standalone.

I was thinking of using these items.

GRANDTEC GVC-1000 Grand Video Console

SanDisk Digital Photo Viewer

and a 15" LCD

Would something like this work?

Surely you could do it with a 15" LCD TV and the digital photo viewer without the vga/tv thinger.

Or what you've suggested sounds like it'd work, though. Perhaps ask some A/V buffs in their home forum? My experience in this field is rather limited

In theory it seems like to work, but I want to make sure first. I wanna do this project because i have an extra 15 in lying around.
