Help! DivX won't play!

Ok...I was all set to watch Requiem for a Dream, but when I open it (and any other movie) all I get is a black screen with sound. They all worked like a week ago, and I don't remember changing anything since.... what could the problem be?

what codec are u using and what was used to encode the divx files? A possible fix might be to install the divx 3.11 codec on top of the divx4 codec. The reason being that some encoding algorithms like sorrow and I think angelpotion won't play video, but since the sound is still mp3...


Requiem for a Dream is a very good movie. U should definitely buy the dvd. I think it's right up there with the fight club dvd.

hmm.. 2 reboots fixed it. Yes, I plan on buying the DVD so I can show all my friends. They don't believe me how amazing it is.
