Help!! display problem

my display is not working. I have reseated card, formatted harddrive,reseated cpu, reset cmos,and still nothing on monitor. monitor works fine set it up on anther system,video card works just got a new one from manufacture, everytime i start system no display and then the system warning beeps...from my point i feel its the cpu or motherboard.but i do see my hard drive being accessed..but not the floppy...could it be i may need a new system battery..or could the agp slot on motherboard be burnt out.. before it total went out...i would have to restart the system twice to get the display to show.. really need help ..dont want to buy a motherboard or cpu if i dont need to..if that is the case i might as well build a new one...need help bad. txs all

Do you have a spare PCI video card laying around? Or one that you can borrow?

dont have a space video card pci.. really dont want to buy one if i dont need it ..for if its the slot...then i need a new motherboard..and the money could go there
