Help!! DirectX Probs

Hi, I work at a local comp tech shop and I sold this guy a fx5600 for his desktop. I also installed directX 9.0b on it since it was going to use a dx9.0 card. So i checked the dxdiag program and it is showing

DirectDraw Acceleration: Not Available
Direct3d Acceleration: Not Available
AGP texture Acceleration: Not Available

the buttons to enable them are greyed out. I have tried 3 different versions of the nvidia drivers and have reinstalled directX many times. Do you guys know of any other things. Graphics acceleration is set to full on the computer also.

Win98 is the OS and it is fully updated.

What was he using before? I have Win2k, but basically had this happen with my current card. it would do all resolutions fine, but any 3d would crap out. DirectX didn't want to reinstall, and I have to reinstall the OS.

Something similar has happened to me,but only "agp texture acceleration" was greyed out. I think it has to do with the order you install things. Try uninstalling the drivers and then use driver cleaner. Install once again dx and then the drivers. I don't know why that happens though.
