I was wondering which direction my case fans should face, suck or blow. I have 3 80mm fan holes, one in the front, one in the back above the power supply and one on the side panel aimed at the cpu. I also have a 60mm fan hole in the back aimed at the cpu. This case is larger than a normal mid-atx. I have a 1.1 ghz thunderbird and ibm 30 gb 7200rpm. Also a Hercules Geforce2 Pro. I need to cool these things. What is the best postition (suck or blow) for the fans to get the best circulation inside the case? Thanks

my basic understanding is that you want the lower fans to blow in, and the higher fans to blow out. The powersupply fan and the one above it should blow out while the other two blow in. That would seem to be the best airflow.

Bignate603's right. your powersupply fan and the fan on top should be your exhaust units. if possible, have your intake fans directed ontop of the video card and cpu. in certain setups involving multiple hard drives, I've seen an intake fan directing the flow between the hd's. if that's not the situation, locate another intake fan near the bottom of the front of the unit; this one is the dusty one though and you may want to consider a filter setup here.

Its fairly obvious... Heat rises, so your going to want exhaust fans up top, and intake on the bottom blowing cool air over most of the components.
