i am doing rebate things, it asks me to write down the serial # and i see two # which might be serial # .

one starts PN: xxxxxxx
the other starts S/N : xxxxxxx

i think latter one looks more like it but i just want to confirm with you fellows

And it also asks me for model #,

here is what shows on the label

80 gb barracuda ata hd
st380021a-rk

do yuo guys think this can be teh model #?

and last part, the rebate form ask to
include

*serial number of seagate product
*original UPC code from seagate retail box

isn't serial # same as UPC Code? if so why the rebate asks them seperately?

Serial number is not the same as UPC. All of that model have the same UPC, each has its own serial number.

PN is probably PRODUCT number, like model number, e.g. Radeon9700XX.
Serial number is the unique number on each box.
