HELP! Did flashing kill my rig?

Please! Anyone help....

I just flashed my LiteOn LDW-811s with a new firmware "HSOQ." It used to have "HSOK." Now when I restart my computer....it just keeps restarting after the windows login.

Anyone know what's going on? How can I re-flash to old firmware without having my computer restart?

TIA!!

No...

I'll try that...

(Noob question...that's simply removing the battery and switching a jumper back and forth right?)

Thanks!

Does pulling the power off of the LiteOn drive let it boot w/o restarting? (Next best thing to pulling it out completely.) If it does, go into the device manager and make sure all remnants of it are gone. Put the power connector back on and let Windows discover it as new hardware. This works occasionally.

I had a similar thing happen with my A7N8X after updating the firmware on my NEC DVD+R. I ended up RMAing the board.

You didn't leave a disc in the drive, while flash upgrading the firmware, did you? (Bad idea!)
