Help diagnosing beeping sound?

Built a new machine last month:
GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H LGA 1155
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB
Intel i7 3770 3.4GHZ
PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III 750W
MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 660
Corsair 120GB SSD
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

It has been running beautifully, but last night (and this morning before work), after I wake it out of sleep mode, it gives a low beeping sound every 4-5 seconds. It never blue screened or shutdown. It went away after about 20 minutes last night, but this morning it was doing it the entire time I was getting ready for work (almost an hour). I quickly googled and downloaded some free temp application and it showed all my cpu temps at 30 degrees and not in danger zone. I am not (nor have ever) overclocked. Everything is factory/default settings.

I had to leave to come to work and now I am sitting here trying to figure out what to do when I get home. I dont want this to be some issue that snowballs and ends up wrecking my system. . . so any suggestions on where to look? What should I download and diagnose with? Any pointers would be appreciated.
 
Do you have a fan controller? I've got a fan controller at my house that beeps for like 5 seconds every time it powers on. It's rather annoying.
 
Find out where it is coming from. Locate the little piezo speaker on the motherboard and place your finger over it. If that drowns out the sound then we know for sure that is the source. Or if it doesnt have a speaker then find out where the sound is coming from.

What is your issue? Is it that you are concerned that the sound may be a warning that something is not right or rather just that you dont want to hear the sound as it is annoying?

You should be able to suppress the sound by muting "PC Beep" (control found) in the mixer. (Note: If that option isnt found then check advanced settings.)
 
If it is not coming from your speakers and coming from inside the case, it is a warning message. Look in your BIOS when you get home (or the manual) and see what warnings are set, especially for the temperatures. Also some of your on-board fan connectors may have a warning like this.
