HELP determine memory Speed

Senior member
Check out my sig for my set-up.

I'm running the 7:10 divider. So my bus speed is at 286, my cpu multi is at 9.

This gives me cpu speed of 2.575Ghz
286/10 = 28.6 -> 28.6*7=200.2 mhz memory speed.

This is what I think, but I can't confirm. I used to rely on CPUZ to tell me memory speed, but for some reason the speed portion is blanked out when I open cpuz (though it still does tell me the different timings...)

QUESTION: Is there a 3rd party software that will display current memory clock when there is a 7:10 divider in place?? A64tweaker doesnt, cpuz doesnt...

HELP PLEASE.

Thanks all.

I am also curious why CPU-Z grays out the RAM speed area sometimes too.

It seemed fine when my OC was at 2.6, but when i bumped it to 2.63 the RAM speed stopped showing in CPU-Z.
It's not like the RAM is OCed either; mines running underclocked.

CPU mhz = HTT x CPU multi (1800mhz = 200 x 9)stock
FSB = LDT x HTT (1000mhz = 5 x 200)stock
Ram Speed = HTT x (memory clock/200)- (200mhz=200 x (200/200)) stock

200 = HTT Mhz
183 = HTT x .90 = Mhz
166 = HTT x .83 = Mhz
150 = HTT x .75 = Mhz
133 = HTT x .66 = Mhz
100 = HTT x .50 = Mhz

the reason it greys out is you are "in between calcuable values", or are involved in the X.5 divider controversy-

It would appear the latest (modded) vers of Everest should show correct mem speed (like nick said)

It's a known issue that CPU-Z does not read the memory divider correctly.

Also interesting is if you use Sandra and ask it to look at CPU & BIOS information then the Multiplier is stated correctly for all whole multipliers. However if you then change to the half multiplier do you think it says the next whole one up or down ? Actually it does not display anything as it gets confused, again showing that this unofficial half multiplier being forced upsets diagnostic software.

Joel, do you accept now that the MSI board is not downing the multiplier and upping the speed but actually some software, including MSI's own, is just misreporting ? Or are you still unconvinced
