I desperately need some advice/help
My system is running Win98se
Asus P3V4X
Asus V7700 Nvidia Geforce 2 GTS 32 DDR
256 SDRA
RealMAgic Hollywood plus MPEG Decoder
Pioneer 16X DVD
Matshita 8X burner
OEM Soundcard
I tried to upgrade my sound card to SB Live! platinum last year. . . I guess it was incompatible with my system that was running Win Me at the time and just crashed my whole system. I formatted and took out the Soundcard. installed this cheap 20$ noname one. I'm at boarding school and my ethernet card was working fine before i formatted but after i formatted . . . Win 98 won't recognize the driver floppy when I put it in . . .I had browse and finally got it going then it said missing all these .sys .exe files andasked me to enter win 98 se disk. I did but they still couldn't fin the files so i had to skip file .. . its working now but after that whenever I restart I get these three msgs "Cannot find file Vnetsup.vxd, Vredir.vxd, dfs.vxd . . .The System.INI refers to this file if you uninstalled this file on purpose please reinstall it . .. if u deleted it onpurpose try uninstalling the associated application." All I did was install my driver for my ethernet card! wat happened? it says press any key to continue and I do then rite before windows loads up . . . i get this warning msg from windows say "unable to load dynamic link library" msnp.dll the following features will not work . . .Microsoft Networking. . I am really lost here. . wat caused all these msgs? Does anybody have any idea as to what is going on with my computer? help will be greatly appreciated
