I came home from class today to find my desktop turned off in my room. Weird I thought, probably a random power outage we have around here. I reach down to press the power button, and the system hums on. As I do that I notice my alarm clock is still set to the correct time, so it could not have been a power outage. I look back over to my computer and realize nothing has happened. It s just sitting there. I look at the front of the tower the power led is not on, but the HDD led is. I hit reset to try again, but no luck and no BIOS beep codes even.

So far I have
-disconnected everything and tried to boot with the bare minumum of video card, CPU, mobo, and a stick of ram
-cleared the CMOS (I wasn't overclocking and had the default settings in the first place, but tried this anyway)

My mobo is a LanParty UT nf3 250gb...pretty old i know. The reason I don't suspect the power supply is because the leds on my board light up for standby and ram voltage. Is there any way to tell what component is causing the problem?
