Help - describe this Army Jacket

My wife is clearing out her closet and was going to list this army jacket on Ebay:

People seem to go into great detail in their army gear listings.

Anyone know how to desribe it?
Do markings mean anything?

She bought it in a thrift shop about 10 years ago.

Your best bet would be going to an army surplus store and seeing if they can identify it.

You could also try the Glocktalk forums. You got some pretty knowledgable people there.

And judging by the style and buttons, i would say this is from WWII or early 50's

I looked at those, specifically C34. The dude that wore that coat saw a lot of stuff during WWII. I cant help to think on who he was and what happend to him.
