Help! Dell Inspiron 8100 DVD problems w/audio!

Hi guys, I put a new 8x DVD drive in my lappy and the DVD audio isn't playing very loud...I have it turned up in the volume control (in fact, everything is turned up) and I also turned up the speaker volume going through the control panel < sounds and audio devices < speakers

I made sure that all of the volume's are up...but still doesn't play dvd's loud at all...all of my other sounds on the computer play VERY loud...but the dvd doesn't. If you guys know of any fixes, please let me know. It's pretty annoying.
