Hi Anandtech'rs

I got a new Dell 1905fp LCD today.
I can get the VGA to work fine, but not the DVI plug in....

HELP....is there a setting I'm missing in the video card or bios settings??
I have an eVGA 6600gt pci-e. It has DVI and so does the monitor. I can only get the VGA hook-up to work??

I tried the dvi/vga button on the monitor, and it displays "DVI mode" then goes blank??

Any help appreciated....first pci-e/lcd/dvi setup!
Thanks ~Jim

I had a problem with my 2005FPW & the DVI port. Try plugging into the DVI and rebooting that way. That solved my issue. It just didn't like the hot-swap. Not sure if this is normal or what. Give it a go and let us know.

try hooking it up via vga, and boot it up.

Swap to DVI, then reboot.

Make sure you remove the Dsub once you swap.

You don't have both VGA and DVI hooked up at the same time do you? I know stupid question, but just to cover all bases. You should only have one hooked up at a time to one video card, never both to the same card.

If anything, with just DVI hooked up, it should auto-detect that on power up, there aren't any special settings I've seen.
